An Invitation from Jesse James & Kostas Anagnopoulos: Palmer House Q&A

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

As many of you have seen or heard, we are in the middle of a painstaking process restoring 1462 Main Street in Rensselaerville, formerly the Palmer House Cafe, in an effort to save the building and reopen it as a restaurant and gathering place for our community once again, sometime in 2024. As we have endeavored to bring the dream of reviving the building and its most recent purpose to fruition, we have encountered lots of interest from many of our neighbors, as well as questions (and rumors) about our intentions.

We will be handing in our paperwork to the town planning board on Thursday, October 5th, and will then await word on when a public hearing will take place — likely within a month. When that date is announced it will be shared, and you will all be invited and encouraged to attend.

Before the public hearing is announced, and in an effort to provide complete transparency as we continue to work towards next steps in preparing the building for a life of service once again, we invite you to join us at Conkling Hall on the night of Friday, October 6th at 7pm for a Q&A. All are welcome, and we will be there along with our small-but-mighty team of collaborators to answer questions and share details of the project, as well as information on where we are at in the process of reaching our goal of opening the doors once again.
