Conkling Hall Week: Call for Volunteers

In addition to an active Board, Conkling Hall is also blessed to have many volunteers who help us with events and with maintaining the Hall. Where would we be without Bill Bensen’s cuisine, Susan Cunningham's and Jeanne Strausman’s always smiling faces, Scott Green’s magic with our heating and electrical systems, Mary Ann Ronconni’s Winter Carnival and Gail Haines’ inspiration to “paint the hall.” I can’t thank them and so many others enough.

Even though I've been involved with this for years, I am always surprised by how much time and effort it takes to pull off events as well as Hall improvement projects. So, we need more volunteers. We will be ending Conkling Hall Week with a two-day effort to complete several socially-distanced projects around the exterior of the Hall, including painting and landscaping. We will be doing these projects in four shifts: 9 am -12 pm and 1 pm - 4 pm on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11. Let us know your availability and we will get in touch with you. You can also let us know that you are available to help out in the future.

These pics show examples of projects we will be tackling -- with your help -- on the weekend. All tools provided! Please bring your own gloves.

Finally, we get it that volunteering can be next to impossible with so many other family and work demands, but maybe you can help us pay for the paint, the sheet rock, and other materials we need to keep the Hall in good shape and ready for your return, by making a donation toward our Building & Tech projects.
